MADS was founded in 1922 in the beautiful Staffordshire village of Marchington, by the wife of the parish vicar. It made its public debut with a pantomime, and has since gone on to stage productions from every theatrical genre, including musicals, drama, comedy, dance and pantomime.
We aim to perform two productions a year, and are involved in the annual Marchington VillageFestival in June, entertaining packed audiences in the marquee with anything from hilarious sketches and songs to poetry readings and whacky dance routines! MADS members enjoy a fun, active and varied social programme all year round, the highlight of which is arguably the annual Progressive Supper. MADS is a member of N.O.D.A. (National Operatic and Dramatic Association). We adhere to their guidelines on child protection, health and safety to ensure the wellbeing and happiness of our members. Read our full Constitution HERE
